On Sanibel Island
SANIBEL ISLAND is the ultimate family friendly choice for a
vacation any season of the year.
The
island caters to families.
It is a quiet, residential neighborhood island, peopled
with folks on bicycles…riding their one-
speed bikes up and down the bicycle paths. They
can be on one-person bikes, they can be
on tandems, or they can be on pedi-bikes, transporting a
person resting on a seat in front of
them
Not only is it a quiet, laid back resort community,
you’ll be delighted to discover how friendly
the prices are. For example, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condominium can range from
$700/week
in summer season to under $2,000/week in the high season.
Add booking fees and linen
fees, and a low 9% lodging tax, and you’ll
find you have snagged a real affordable vacation.
Take Sandpiper Beach Condos, for example:
The location is superb…on Sanibel, on an
off-shoot of
Middle Gulf Drive (Olde Middle Gulf Drive, to be specific).
All units are
Gulf-front with Gulf views.
Olde Middle Gulf Drive is a small private dead-end road,
off Middle Gulf Drive right around
where it intersects with West Gulf Drive.
It sees very little traffic…most people don’t even
know it is there.
The road is shared with only one other complex, Signal Inn.
The grounds are lovely, 13 acres of flawless landscaping
serving only 27 units. The ground
are located right next to Gulf Side Park.
Other amenities (besides the peaceful landscaping) include
a fabulous swimming pool with
daily adult swim (hardly anyone uses the pool!), a
tennis court, 2 shuffleboard courts, covered
parking, a boardwalk direct from
the pool to the beach, charcoal fired BBQ grills, and a shell
washing tray with
running water.
All condos are 2 bedroom, 2 baths, with 3-6 to a building.
All are Gulf Front with Gulf views.
All are situated within a low rise building. Two
stair banks service each building, there are no
elevators.
Additionally, there are no trailers, motorcycles or pickups allowed
overnight.
These condos provide weekly rentals only, generally
Saturday to Saturday, and consist of
bedroom, 2 baths, living room, dining
area, fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryer, and
fully screened in lanais
with gorgeous, drop-dead views of the Gulf.

looking for a vacation, consider Sanibel Island. And

you’ll definitely want to look at Sandpiper Beach condos. When
